gobama!

being in a foreign country for a little while has made me aware of just how american i am, for better and for worse.  this past tuesday, being an american definitely fell into the "better" category.

the pub where we watched obama's inauguration speech.

three irish friends who came with us to take part in the celebration.

even the rubbish bins were celebrating!

and a trip back in time to november- election night itself at rockefeller center!  sophie, myself, and sydney celebrating.

the first week

welcome to dublin!

this is the view from my apartment!

welcome to my room!  the walls are a little bare, but i'll fill them with fun things soon.

this was outside of a pub called o'neils with friends in my program- my first visit to an irish pub! my traditional irish meal included roast lamb, potatoes (of course), and carrots.

this street in stoney batter is where i spent my last week. the red door is where i took collaborative arts classes. the blue door is where i ate delicious hummus and vegetable sandwiches everyday. meet my new irish friends!

and this is my walk home.

i'm not complaining!
